For most people buying custom jewelry is very personal. We will discuss your order with you, and walk you through the process. You'll find all the details in the section below.

Even though the Zoein web site has been up since 2002 I have only recently taken it seriously. I started coding and redesigned it to make it a real gem for you to visit. Admittedly, it is a slow process and like me, you are sure to find much that remains to be done.

At the moment I am passionately involved with a writing, a very special book- "Pearls of Pleasure - The Gem of Feminine Sensuality". It won't be long, before there will be a sneak peak here for you to look at!

Most of the jewelry that you see in stores is made by industrial methods. In contrast, at Zoein everything is made by highly skilled hand-work techniques that take years of training to learn and a life time to master. (See Side Bar — Repoussé)

Most of the jewelry that we make takes several hundred hours to complete and some master pieces take longer than a year.

The more familiar you become with our work, the more you will come to understand that what we are offering you, is exceptional one of a kind designs, and some of the highest quality hand crafted jewelry in the world. When you consider the amount of time, thought and care that goes into each piece, then you'll realize that our prices are competitive and probably too reasonable.

How to Order

The Zoein Gallery has a modest selection of jewelry for you to choose from. You will find styles that range from very ornate to the utterly simple. Even the gems that we use range from the precious - rubies, emeralds, blue sapphires, opals, diamonds and jade - to the semi-precious and exotic specimens like - topaz, tourmaline, black coral, lapis lazuli, crystals and even fossil ivory collected from the glaciers of Alaska and Siberia.

Some of the jewels in the Gallery are in my current collection and others are showcased from previous collections. One of the first things you'll notice is that the prices aren't listed. The exclusive, custom jewelry that you purchase will be with you for the rest of your life and hopefully become a part of your heritage. It isn't like buying a computer, it is an intimate affair. Aren't you glad to know that we are here to service your order and even tailor your piece if need be? We are always ready to quote you the price and availability of your pieces. All you have to do is call us, skype us or send us an email from our Contact Center.

We are a design studio and boutique, not a commercial manufacturer that keeps hundreds of the same item in stock. The Zoein collection is in a constant state of flux. One day a piece is here and the next it is adorning someone, somewhere in the world.

What we create is one of a kind pieces that are completely crafted by hand and cannot be reproduced. Every piece of jewelry in the Zoein Collection is like a fine painting, brush stroked in the rich texture of gold and embellished by precious gems. Each one is a unique creation yet some are more unique than others.

  • A) Some pieces are available for you to order. To the untrained eye, these look virtually the same as the original, around 90-95% or so.
  • B) Some pieces can be made with a similar look and feel yet they will only resemble the original around 50-70% or so. In this category is the Black Coral Bracelet, Baroque Pearls and pieces made from other materials that are nature's one of a kind creations. And some pieces cannot be reproduced at all.
  • C) The Jewelry that is currently in the collection, is of course, available right now! However, in the blink of an eye, it can be purchased and thus will assume one of the other three levels of availability.

Do you want to commission a design? No Problem! Perhaps you have a gemstone that you would like reset, or some jewelry that you don't wear and want to recycle into something fantastic.

We ask for a design/commitment fee of $250.00 up front. We will provide you with up to three different concept variations to choose from. When you make your choice we ask for a deposit of 50% in advance. We will then begin hand crafting your piece in our workshop. The remaining 50% is due upon final completion.

The Design

The Design of the 22 karat Gold Sri Arrow Garland

The planets are in perfect attunement, the beak of humming birds is specially designed to sip nectar from the cup of trumpeted flowers, the food chain itself is an expression of nature's plan and underlying intelligence. It is this perfection of nature that we recreate for you.

Many of the themes embodied in my designs are inspired by natural shapes and forms. Nature is the most prolific artist, whose brush strokes paint the world with innumerable variations of harmonic beauty.

I am also inspired by the legacy of mythology: by the ancient races, barely visible in the mists of time, and the faint impressions of their rituals and beliefs. I am inspired by the mysteries of time, creation and simply by the remarkable nature of this wondrous universe in which we live.

The gems and materials also have a vital role to play in the initial conception and design of the jewelry. One could not make bread if the possibility was not already present in the flour. (See Side Bar — Natural Selection)

Gold itself is the color of the vibrant 'sun'. It is the solar king of metals and silver, its queen, is the lustrous moon. Respectively, they are represented by the hues of yellow and white. Therefore, most of my pieces are made from a rich yellow, high karat gold. Occasionally I will use the paler 18 karat gold, but I prefer not to use white gold at all.

Gemstones form over millions and billions of years. Our lives are but the blink of an eye when compared to such immense spans of time. Nature's plan is what formed the gem, gave it its color, hardness and shape. And it is this plan that bears influence even when its being made into jewelry.

Before crafting a piece it is important that we are aware of, not only the precise form and proportions, but the jewel's actual meaning.

Once the design is roughly sketched, it is refined using sacred geometry and then finally rendered in ink. When it is complete the design is handed over to one of our jewelers and the process of crafting begins. There is nothing brief about the process.
